For the past 8 years intrepid adventurers and denizens of Toronto have gathered to march up “The Longest Street in the World” in search of good times and in support of the charity Right To Play.
You are invited to join us Saturday August 18th at 1:00 PM
Starting from the South-East corner of Yonge & Dundas there are seven planned stops on the 2012 YSPC:
- The Three Brewers, 275 Yonge Street (south of The Square)
- Elephant & Castle, 378 Yonge Street @ Gerrard
- Bar Volo, 587 Yonge Street (north of Wellesley)
- Brownstone Bistro, 603 Yonge Street (south of Bloor)
- Crown & Dragon Pub, 890 Yonge Street @ Church / Davenport
- The Rebel House, 1068 Yonge Street (north of Rosedale Stn)
- The Monk’s Table, 1276 Yonge Street (north of Summerhill Stn)
Participants are asked to make a suggested donation of $10.00 either in-person or online at RightToPlay.ca
(Please note: Tax receipts for in-person donations require valid email address to be provided and will be emailed to the donor within a week after the event.)
All proceeds will go to Right To Play, an international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace for children and communities in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world. The YSPC was started in 2005 by a group of friends who wanted to see just how many bars there were on ‘the longest street in the world’ and how many could they have a drink at in one day.
Seven years later the YSPC is an annual fundraising event that takes place on the 3rd Saturday in August and has raised over $1,200.00 for charity.
Not bad for a group of people looking for an excuse to drink all day.
